Roses on paper

Was gonna use this card for something completely different but the plans changed, so here it is as an entry to the Roses on Paper challenge 28 which is to colour with your favourite medium. In my case that's distress inks.

Let it snow

Wow,
look what greeted us when we got up this morning...

The mailman might get some problems tomorrow, cause the tractor hasn't been here to take it away yet...

I'm sooo passed Christmas now ;)

Cards for New Year... I don't know... who sends cards for New Year? Maybe more people than I can imagine...

Anyway, since my local scrapping shop Scrapbooking4you.se has the theme of New Year for their challenge I've made a bottle label cause bottles I will surely use for New Year's ;)

I will also enter Simon says (party), Our Creative corner (food or drink) and Cute card Thursday (Happy new year)

I hope you got all your wishes fulfilled this Christmas, that you were as spoiled by your loved ones as I was!

/hugs

DCD #28

Snowflake surprise is the theme over at DCD this week - and next. Yepp, you have until Jan 3rd to hide a snowflake ;).

This is what I made.

I know the pictures are crappy but daylight is hard to find right now =)

STFW!!!

I've been chosen to be a part of the Design Team for Stampin for the Weekend and I'm sooo bubbly about it.

Really talented girls so I feel very priviledged :). I will start my DT assignment when we flip over the calendar to 2010 so I have some time to let this sink in.

Weeeee, and a merry Christmas to me =)

Anything goes

Creative Card Crew has Anything goes as their challenge - combined with a DT call. And though it might seem easy it makes me all jittery, I need order and frames to work within :)

So, here's my Anything goes... wish me luck!

Guest DT for Creatalicious

I was very proud to be picked as guest designer for Buzzy Bec's Creatalicous challenge .

The theme was Something old, something new, something torn, something blue and I made this gift box (Christ woman, renew yourself!)
where I tried to make the box look old, the stamp is brand new to me, the tag and edges are torn and the blue is sorta self-explanatory...

Enjoy!

It's Christmas

Rather easy for a theme this time of the year =).
Both Just Magnolia and the Pink Elephant has that (and probably loads more but there's just not enough time...) so here's a Christmas box I've made using the keepsake template from My timeless templates.
And I used the colour combo Cranberry and hunter green for Roses on Paper.

The heart and the banner are from Magnolia's winter clubkit.

DCD #27

Glitter me silly is the theme at Die Cut Dreams this week. How easy is that? :) Surely you can glitter something and join us this week...

All the DT:s got a kit to use and it was so fun to see how differently we created out of the same material. I sidestepped from my boxes and made a giftbag - I know, surprising even to myself. So much that I even wrote backside of the box on the picture =)

I won - again

Feels like I'm on a roll =).

Scrapbruket, a very well stocked webshop, had this competition where you could win a Martha Stewart punch. Today the result came in and I did!!!

It feels great cause they are sold out around here and it's so much easier to punch with than with my McGill. And the MS one can deal with cardstock! Me likey!!!

Where's the postman??

Just Magnolia

The monthly challenge at Just Magnolia is a card for someone special and my wee one has three wonderful and very special teachers. I haven't really made cards, I made... can you guess... boxes ;) and this is one of them. Can't show you all three cause one of the other boxes I'm using as a GDT project so that one will come up eventually. But the three boxes are totally different from eachother.

Made the Snowman soup according to the "recipe" I lifted from Rach last year, thanks a bunch hun! And the tiny candy canes are sold out all over town so I had to use large ones and therefore fasten them on the outside of the box. Well, well...

Magnolia winter kit is here

Well, I must say that I don't really share Magnolia's thoughts on what winter is cause there's not much winter about this kit...

They are really cute of course and I especially like the mini stamp - it will be super for match boxes :)

And I truly appologize for the horrible stamping but to my defense I will say that I had a very eager little helper :)

So if you want the kit to remain a surprise until you get them in your mail box; step away from the computer right now!

DCD #26

Sage & union stuffing colour is the combo for this week over at Die Cut Dreams and I altered this boring jar and made it more suitable for Christmas cookies. I forgot to take a picture of it before but you can trust me when I say it was truly boring :)

I know brown wasn't part of the colour combination (it's green, beige and cream) but I really wanted the brown as background to the lace so I made an executive decision :).

Evening ladies,
having a weekend stretched out ahead feels nice!

I have a box today (!) that I'm entering in Simon says Stamp (charm), Sukkersött (gift bag), Creative Card Crew (Christmas), Stamp Something (glitzy something) and Stampin for the Weekend (DT call).

tisdag 1 december 2009

Nothing much to show you today, just a simple Christmas card - I'm nearly finished with them all now =)

DCD 24

Time for a new challenge over at Die Cut Dreams. This week it's Hot Chocolate - great colour, great nutrition :)
Do join this week!
I'm also linking it to Whiff of Joy's challenge since it's to make a Christmas card.

ABC challenge

I started this card yesterday before hubby came and picked me up from the scrap gathering. Finished it today and thought I might enter it in ABC:s challenge I is for indigo. I really don't have a clue if it's indigo, but it's blue... And in Bizzy Becs Creatalicious challenge because of the snowflake and sparkles. And of course I'm entering in Whiff of Joy's challenge because of the choice of stamp. This week the challenge is to make a Christmas card.

Scrappin Saturday

Today I've been to a gathering for enthusiastic scrappers, hosted by Scrapbooking4you. It was a day of fun and laughter, great food and entertainment. I had a blast but didn't create much - of course =). I did manage the card below though and I thought I'd enter it in CCC:s challenge favourite things since the punch and the ribbon and sparkles and Christmas are my favourite things, and in Simon says' challenge for Winter love since love is red in my world =).

advent calendar

I've made an Advent calendar for my girls and today I've managed to find a few challenges to enter it into. First is Secret Crafter Saturday challenge -calendar, goes without saying, then it's Simon says Stamp - animals so my bear works. Creatalicious has something for Christmas and it surely is, ABC challenge has H for Hidden and the chocolate is very hidden :) , the colour combo at Our Creative Corner and finally it's Creative Card Crew that has strings attached and since all handles on the drawers are made of ribbon...

It was really fun to do but the folding of all the boxes took a while.

There are loads of tutorials for this on the net, I wanted a small one though cause many of them have rather large drawers. So I used:

Box 6 x 12,5 cm
Score at 1,5 cm, 5,5 cm, 7 cm and 11 cm

Drawer 6,6 x 8,6 cm
Score at 1,4 cm from all four sides.

Glue the boxes together three by three and then place them in a square.
Make a top and bottom from cardboard, measuring 12 x 12 cm.

I made a very pretty picture to show more clearly but I can't really figure out how to attach a pdf document in Blogger =(

Christmas lights

Christmas is just around the corner now and I've started looking over some of our decorations. I wanted some new lights so I bought this five-branched candlestick. It was dirt cheap (and so it should be cause it's not the prettiest and most exciting one around) :)

But after painting it, stamping it, distressing it and decorating it with flowers, ribbons, sparkles and a tiny Whiff of Joy charm it's ready for my living room. :)

It's also ready for the challenge over at Whiff of Joy with the colour combo brown, orange and ivory and it suits the Creatalicious challenge with something for Christmas.

DCD challenge

Guten Tag!

I'm back from Neumarkt where I had a fabulous time. Lots of bratwurst and lots of beer and fantastic company :)

This week's challenge over at Die Cut Dreams is Santa Claus and my contribution is a box of chocolates - what else ;). The image I got from a friend at work and it was perfect for this.
Do hop on over to DCD and join!

Birdie nam nam

I'm guessing blogland will be more or less flooded with birdhouses soon, because of the template in the Magnolia Ink magazine...

Nevertheless, here's my take on it, a bit like a gingerbread house with my favourite Christmas treats inside (they won't last all the way to Christmas though).

DCD #22

Morning ladies!
It's Monday so it's time for a new challenge over at Die Cut Dreams. This week it's a colour combo and sketch that was really enjoyable to follow. Hop on over and give it a go!

I made another box and placed the sketch on the inside of the lid. Love these colours together.
And so do the team over at Colour Create cause they have the combo too. :)

And Cupcake craft have Snow much fun this week so I'm tossing this in there too.

Meeting the witches

Yesterday I went to a gathering with the newly started scrap society here in Umea called the Scrap Witches. It was a fun day with scrapping, talking, getting new influences and adding to the stash from the fleamarket that was held.

I managed to get two cards done (well, more or less cause the insides aren't done). The first one was made with a stamp I bargained there and since everything is very distressed - of course - I'm entering it in the Simon says stamp monthly challenge. I actually won some gorgeous Christmas patterned cardstock for that card :)

The other card has images from a cut out pattern from Panduro, the swirl stamp and the glittery thread are also new additions to my horribly growing stash.

Why I didn't bring anything to sell? Cause I don't want to get rid of a single thing :)

fredag 6 november 2009

birch tree

Finished the cards to attach to the presents when we go to Germany next week. I used Magnolia's birch tree stamp which is perfect since my town is known as the city of birch trees. It fits the Simon says stamp monthly challenge which is distressing and I don't think I've ever done anything without my distress inks :). No rough edges this time though.
