Calendar freebie

Surfing around can teach you many - who needs schools? ;)

I've wanted to be able to put files on the blog to share some of the templates and such that I have but have not for the life of me been able to figure out how to manage Mr Blogger to cooperate with me. But today I read of an easy solution:

Just have a wordpress blog and upload your files there. Then you can just link to the Blogger blog, easy peasy! And since I started this amazing blogland journey on the Wordpress train I still got that old blog ready to be dusted off and used as a storage place, brilliant =).

So, the calendar page that I made for this box can now be shared with you. And with some complimentary tickets on the same page, enjoy!

Follow this link to get there.

Allsorts - dressing up

This week Fleur is in charge of the Allsorts challenge and she set the theme to dressing up.

I found the perfect paper for the theme (sent to me in a paper swap) and dedicated the card to my older daughter who lives and breathes fashion :).

Flowers from Wild Orchid and home made pins.

Die Cut Dreams - Tilda in Blue

Today the boss of DCD decided that we should use her favourite images for our theme - Tilda. And we want you to make her all blue. Tilda that is, not the boss :).

I made a tea bag holder using a template from My timeless templates with simple cardstock stamped with broken china. This is a very versatile template cause without the cut hole for the tea bags it makes a perfect gift box where box and lid is one piece.

Allsorts - card for a baby/child

This week at Allsorts the theme is card for a baby/child and I found this fantastic template for a christening card and decided to make one. And then I stumbled over this digi image from papilio stamps and I just loved it! So easy card today, edges distressed with antique linen, image coloured with victorian velvet and frayed burlap. Lace and pearls from stash and done!

Allsorts - summer days

Morning,

Wow! Lots of lovely creations to look at for last week's challenge Summer love. Winner and my top 5 can be found on Allsorts challenge blog. But now over to this week where Debs has the theme of Summer days.

We are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps so I got to use this gorgeous little pink riding hood girl :). Coloured with distress ink victorian velvet and pumice stone.

The little charm is made of shrink plastic, the funniest material ever =).

Stampin for the Weekend - recipe

It's time for another challenge at Stampin for the Weekend. It lasts for two weeks and the recipe is: 3 papers, 2 flowers and 1 ribbon. The DT got some images from Peachy Keen Stamps - one of our sponsors - to play with and here is my result.

Allsorts - July love

Don't forget that there is still time to enter the Penny Black at Allsorts challenge. Fantastic prizes are at stake.

But now over to this week's challenge at Allsorts;

I love July! It's warm, it's lazy, it's vacation. I love it!
So, for this week's challenge, since I'm hosting it, show your love by having a heart on your project. And not a teeny, tiny piece in a corner, let the heart be the focus point. Let your love show!

My project IS a heart but don't feel forced to do that, look at the marvellous work of the rest of the DT for inspiration.

My heart box was made using a heart shape from Photoshop, papers from Tim Holtz, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a computer generated tag, distressed and glossed.

Other challenges:

Simon says challenge - photo inspiration

One stop craft challenge - monochromatic

Just a shorty to let you have a peek of a digi stamp I purchased today from papilio stamps.

I think it's just adorable! I can't show you the whole project today, but it will reveal itself ;)

WoywW

Funny how even the most uncomfortable places are ok for cats, as long as they achieve their utter goal - to be totally in the way!

But I abandoned the computer and instead I sorted all my papers and put all pieces colour-coordinated (of course hehe) on my desk. Unused cardstock and paper packs on top. Bits and bobs paper in the red folder on the floor. Now I can hopefully use these pieces instead of buying new papers all the time...

And a new needle cushion for my pins, I'm really pleased with it. It's just an IKEA plastic cup with fabric covered foam rubber in it, disguised with pretty paper to look like a cupcake.

Die Cut Dreams blog hop

Can you believe its been a whole year since the DCD challenge started ....hasn't it been fun !!
Well to celebrate our birthday week we're having a blog hop, you have hopefully arrived here from Victoria's blog which means you are completely right and on a roll :).

This weeks Challenge theme is
1st Birthday
This weeks Prize is

For my DT card I used a digi image, coloured in victorian velvet, Maja Design backing paper, TH hinges, computer generated tag, home made pin and some paper lace. All distressed with vintage photo and walnut stain.

Added challenges for the card: OSCC , Spoon full of Sugar and Crafty Catz.

I have also added a little something to this blog hop. Since I got such a response to my stamped Hanglar images give-away I thought I'd let one of you lucky hoppers get a bunch of them as well.

If you're up for it you have until noon on Sunday 18th July at noon GMT to post a comment here. But remember that you need to make a card or project with the theme 1st Birthday and enter the challenge blog first =).

So, the letter you get from me is A, now bounce over to Karen's blog.

Allsorts - create a scene

This week at Allsorts Brenda is in charge and she wants us all to create a scene, I know that's easy but you need to do it on paper ;)

I used the Grandma's parlor digi set from Wink wink Ink together with a rather old Hanglar stamp. Colours are mostly aged mahogany, walnut stain and antique linen. I know the stickles border looks rather messy but IRL it's rather pretty =)

And if you haven't entered the first Penny Black at Allsorts challenge yet, what are you waiting for?

The theme for Stampin for the Weekend this fortnight is Christmas is July with the following sketch

I turned the sketch and used a gorgeous Tilda image and lots of weathered wood distress ink. The silver thread knot is made using a tutorial by Chrissie.

July calendar

Summer for me is... presents and cake! :)

My dad and both my daughters have their birthdays in July and we have our wedding anniversary in July. So that's what I do - I shop and I bake :)

So I found it very fitting to use that for the birthday calendar that is slowly but steadily coming true (previous months in previous posts, can't be bothered to link, it's almost midnight).

Sir Stampalot - summer doings

The sugar bowl - sketch + scallops (on the lace thingie, am I stretching it?)

Simon says challenge - check it out

Papertake Weekly - in stitches
